Ohhh how I love weddings! Love, love, love wedding dresses, adore the bridesmaids dresses, swoon over the bouquets, and I can’t get enough of all the little details. So how lucky am I that I not only get to see all of this through my eyes, but also my lens. Shooting two weddings this weekend back to back (Saturday & Sunday) confirmed to me once again that I adore not only being a photographer, but also a wedding photographer. Who else gets to capture little moments of love and happiness and store them for people for a lifetime. I often think about how special it is that wedding photography has such an heirloom factor, how crazy it seems that long after my days here, a part of me will live on through the photographs I take. 100’s of years down the road, in a time so much different than the current, someone could be looking at the work D and I have created for their family. Makes me smile!

This last Saturday Meghann & Aaron said I do in Waunakee, with a reception following at the Bergamont in Oregon. Couples often ask me what my favorite reception facilities are, and the Bergamont is definitely right up there! Derrick & I were lucky enough to not only photograph the wedding but also create a wedding film. (which I can not wait to see!) The day was nothing less then wonderful, Meghann and Aaron had a great wedding party, and wonderful families…not to mention Meghann and Aaron were laid back, in love and easy to work with! (everything a photographer/videographer could want!) Sooo happy for them both! Here are just a few of my favorites, its always hard to pull out only a select few to share on the blog from the 100’s of images that are waiting to be presented to the couple!
