You feel time constantly marching forward, then you have children and it turns into a sprint.  You can watch them grow and learn right before your eyes.  And it’s the sort of thing that seems slow when you near it, but the minute you’re able to step back too realize and take in all the progress of all the days (and sometimes sleepless nights) that have already moved by you it’s easy to catch yourself asking partly in amazement, “where has time went?”  We feel that way with our own children, and get to experience it in a different yet still meaningful way with the families we’ve been fortunate enough to photograph along their journey such as little Cole.  Seems not too long ago we photographed his parents wedding, then what seems like only a month ago we did their maternity shoot, the newborn shoot, nine month session, and now Cole’s already one; walking, starting to talk  and even eating his own cake (or making a mess out of it anyway).  Happy Birthday Cole and we wish you many happy more.  We’re proud to have documented these early days for you!  – Derrick & April
