Leeann and Aaron are such a wonderful couple and we were so honored to be their wedding photographer.  They had a great day that started out at the Hilton in downtown Madison, WI where the girls and guy got ready for the day.  Leeann and Aaron did a first look just outside of the Monona Terrace in front of the Madison Club.  First looks are not only a great way to alleviate some of the nerves, but when it’s possible to do the majority of your wedding portraits prior to the ceremony it can make you day flow so much more seamlessly between the wedding ceremony and reception.  However when we got married we kept things traditional and didn’t see one another until walking down the aisle, so we can totally understand when couples want to forgo this option.  We shot their wedding pictures outside of the Madison Club, at the Wisconsin State Capitol, and outside of and on top of the Monona Terrace in downtown Madison.   The original plan was to have a rooftop ceremony at the Monona Terrace, however questionable weather and really windy conditions  caused things to be moved indoors, which worked flawlessly and was beautiful as they were still able to overlook the lake.  Jim from Happily Ever After did a wonderful job as always officiating the wedding and Leeann and Aaron said their I do’s and made things official.  They kept their guests at the Monona Terrace for their dinner and wedding reception.  A great time was had by all and Bucky Badger even made a stop to surprise the guests and get down.  Before leaving we did a couple of night shots on the Terrace roof and with the fountain before heading home happy to have been part of such a great couples day.   Here are some of our favorites from their proofs.
